Trip Secure – Terms and Conditions

The Trip Secure can be availed by the customers of MakeMyTrip in order to safeguard their travel.

Trip Secure can be purchased by the customers of MakeMyTrip while making a domestic hotel booking through the MakeMyTrip Platform. You get the following benefits:

Insurance coverage will be complimentary. Assistance services and insurance coverages are valid for the actual hotel stay duration. Trip Secure is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Emergency Medical Assistance

All medical and ambulance costs and costs for the above inclusions shall be borne by the customer at actuals. No responsibility is taken for the medical condition or medical progress of the patient.

Towing

In case of Accident or Mechanical Failure – Up to 30 Kms from the incident area:

In the event the Covered Vehicle suffers an immobilizing breakdown due to a mechanical or electrical fault or wrong fueling or an accident, the Service Provider will assist in towing the vehicle to the nearest Service Centre. Costs beyond 30 Kms will be borne by the customer at INR 50+GST per Km.

Flat Tire Support

If the vehicle is immobilized because of a flat tire, the Provider shall dispatch a mechanic for changing the tire. The customer should have a spare tire in the vehicle and necessary tools.

Vehicle Extraction Assistance

If the vehicle is stuck in a ditch, mud, or snow but accessible through normal roadways, the Service Provider will arrange towing or the best alternatives.

Fuel Delivery (Up to 5 Ltrs.)

In the event the vehicle runs out of fuel, the Service Provider will arrange emergency fuel delivery. The cost of fuel will be borne by the customer.

Message Relay to Relatives/Colleagues/Emergency Numbers

The Service Provider will relay urgent messages on behalf of the customers to a designated person.

Dedicated Hotline/Toll-Free Number

A 24x7 helpline/toll-free number will be provided for customers.

Breakdown Support Over the Phone

Upon receiving a call, the Service Provider will attempt to resolve issues over the phone. If unresolved, the RSA program services will be activated.

Battery Jumpstart

If the vehicle is immobilized due to a rundown battery, the Service Provider will arrange for a technician to jumpstart the vehicle.

Taxi Benefit – Up to Rs. 1,000 + GST

If the customer’s vehicle is immobilized due to a breakdown or accident, the Service Provider will aid in arranging a taxi and cover up to Rs. 1,000 + GST.

On-Site Minor Repairs

If the vehicle breaks down due to a minor fault, the Service Provider will arrange for a technician to provide repairs. Costs of materials and spare parts will be borne by the customer.

Locked/Lost Key Assistance

If the keys are lost/misplaced, the Service Provider will assist in arranging a replacement on a best-effort basis.

Travel Insurance Benefits

The complimentary inbuilt product underwritten by Aditya Birla Health Insurance Company Limited includes the following:
