Trip Secure – Terms and Conditions

The Trip Secure can be availed by the customers of MakeMyTrip in order to safeguard their travel.

Trip Secure can be purchased by the customers of MakeMyTrip while making a domestic hotel booking through the MakeMyTrip Platform. You get the following benefits:

Assistance services provided by Across Assist Private Limited.
Travel Insurance as a complimentary in-built product underwritten by Aditya Birla Health Insurance Company Ltd.

Insurance coverage will be complimentary. Assistance services and insurance coverages are valid for the actual hotel stay duration. Trip Secure is non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Assistance Services Provided by Across Assist Private Limited

Consists of the following benefits:

Emergency Medical Assistance

Online doctor consultation (1 consultation): A general physician/specialist will be aligned for online consultations during the trip in case of any medical emergency. Only 1 General Physician consultation will be provided free of cost.
Ambulance Assistance: Ambulance services will reach the incident location within 30–45 minutes (for distances of 20 km or less). Emergencies include heart attacks, asthma, accidents, and more. Services are available 24x7 during the subscription period.
Pandemic Assistance: 24/7 customer helpline during a pandemic. Assistance includes oxygen concentrators, bed availability, and paramedic support.
Repatriation of Mortal Remains: Vehicle arranged within 60 minutes post-clearance from the morgue.

All costs for medical and ambulance services will be borne by the customer. No responsibility is taken for the medical condition or progress of the patient.

Towing

In case of an accident or mechanical failure, towing is available for up to 10 km. Costs beyond this distance (at INR 50+GST per km) will be borne by the customer.

Flat Tire Support

A mechanic will be dispatched to change the tire. Customers must have a spare tire and tools.

Vehicle Extraction Assistance

If the vehicle is stuck (in mud, snow, etc.), towing or alternative methods will be arranged.

Fuel Delivery (Up to 5 Ltrs.)

Fuel delivery will be arranged if the vehicle runs out of fuel. The cost of the fuel will be borne by the customer.

Message Relay

Urgent messages will be relayed to designated persons on behalf of the customer.

Dedicated Hotline

A 24x7 toll-free helpline will be available for customers.

Breakdown Support Over the Phone

Issues will first be resolved over the phone. If unresolved, relevant services will be activated.

Battery Jumpstart

A technician will assist with jumpstarting the vehicle. Costs for battery replacement will be borne by the customer.

Taxi Benefit – Only Assistance

If the customer’s vehicle is immobilized due to a breakdown or accident, the service provider will assist in arranging a taxi service. The customer will bear any costs.

On-Site Minor Repairs

A technician will repair minor mechanical/electrical faults on-site. Labor costs will be covered, but materials/spare parts will be at the customer’s expense.

Locked/Lost Key Assistance

Assistance will be provided to arrange a replacement key on a best-effort basis.

Conditions

Applicable for Indian residents aged 3 months to 60 years.
Only valid for MakeMyTrip customers.

Exclusions

Claims due to tour operator insolvency.
Claims resulting from pre-existing conditions or self-isolation during lockdown.
